Programme Outline
All trainees will be allocated to a Home School. Trainees will start the academic year in their home school and spend most of their school-based experience time there.
All trainees will then spend time at a second placement in an enhancement placement at an away school between Christmas and February half term.
Trainees will participate in a KS5 and KS2 experience.
In addition to the directed school-based experience, all trainees will spend time at Liverpool John Moores University for subject-specific pedagogy sessions.
Trainees from across the collaborative will meet together every week (at one of our partnership schools) for SWD (School Wide Development) Training Sessions. Please note this does involve an element of travel, so being able to drive is an advantage.
All trainees will also attend compulsory teaching days at Liverpool John Moores University for direct tuition towards the PGCE worth 60 master credits.
